What Is the Story of Naa Wife Missing?
Balu (or Bala Subramanyam), played by Varun Sandesh, is an assistant bank manager who enters an arranged marriage with Swapna (Shweta Basu Prasad). Early days of married life carry underlying friction. During a temple visit, Swapna suddenly disappears. Balu approaches the police and files a missing-person complaint, only to find himself under suspicion. The narrative explores trust, past secrets revealed before the wedding, and the complicated web of relationships that emerge as the investigation unfolds. Two key twists keep the story moving without stretching the runtime unnecessarily.
Cast, Crew and Production Details
The film marks a notable reunion for the Kotha Bangaru Lokam pair. Supporting actors include Praveen, Satya Sri (Jabardasth), and Mohith in key roles. Music is composed by Sai Karthik, cinematography by N.S. Satish Kumar, and editing by Saibabu Talari. Produced by Shiva Kanthamneni under Lighthouse Cine Magic, the project is presented as an Aha Original. Director Swathi Prakash Mantripragada previously worked on the web series Nayanam and makes her feature-length directorial debut here.
Critical Reception and Audience Response
Early reviews have been mixed but respectful of the film’s strengths. One major Telugu portal rated it 2.75 out of 5, praising the neatly written twists and solid performances from the leads while noting that greater emotional depth could have elevated the impact. Viewers who enjoy compact thrillers with relationship drama and police procedural elements have found it engaging for a single sitting. The decision to keep the runtime tight works for some and leaves others wanting more exploration of the characters’ inner lives.
