Russell Brand’s journey from chaotic stand-up star and Hollywood actor to family man has always drawn curiosity. Today, the comedian and his wife Laura Brand (née Gallacher) share three children while fiercely protecting their privacy. Here is the clear, up-to-date picture of Russell Brand’s children as of late 2026.

How Many Children Does Russell Brand Have?
Russell Brand and Laura have three children together: two daughters and one son. They married in August 2017 near their then-home in Henley-on-Thames after reconnecting in 2015. Laura, sister of presenter Kirsty Gallacher and daughter of golfer Bernard Gallacher, has largely stayed out of the spotlight while raising the family. The couple moved to Florida in 2024. Brand has spoken openly about how fatherhood shifted his perspective, describing it as teaching him that love is real and that something larger than himself matters.
Key facts at a glance:
- Three children total with Laura Brand
- No children from his earlier marriage to Katy Perry (2010–2012)
- Family prioritises privacy and keeps the children largely offline
Meet Mabel Brand – The Eldest Daughter
Mabel Brand arrived in November 2016. Brand announced the news during a stand-up show, telling the audience he needed to get home because his girlfriend had just given birth. He later described feeling something profound switch on when he first saw her—a clear sense of purpose. In interviews he has called her beautiful, full of joy, and (with typical humour) a “vicious little character” who tugged at his chest hair. Mabel is now around ten years old. The family has kept her daily life, schooling and interests private.
Peggy Brand and the Arrival of Their Son
Peggy Brand was born in July 2018. The couple chose a quiet arrival with no big public announcement. Sources at the time said they were simply over the moon. Peggy is now about eight.
Their third child, a son named Herb, was born in 2023. Laura was pregnant when the first major allegations against Brand surfaced that year. Details about Herb remain limited by design; the family continues to shield all three children from media attention. During Brand’s 2026 trial, Laura described him in court as caring, kind and a wonderful father to their children.
| Child | Birth Year | Approximate Age (2026) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mabel Brand | 2016 | 10 | Eldest daughter |
| Peggy Brand | 2018 | 8 | Second daughter |
| Herb Brand | 2023 | 3 | Youngest, only son |
Family Life and Privacy Amid Public Scrutiny
Brand has admitted in the past that Laura handled most day-to-day parenting early on, once joking he had never spent a full 24 hours alone with the children. He has also said fatherhood made him more present and less self-focused. The couple’s Christian faith, which grew stronger in recent years, forms part of their family foundation.
Throughout Brand’s high-profile legal proceedings in 2026, Laura stood by him and spoke of the private family life they built. The children themselves have never been put on display. That deliberate boundary remains the clearest feature of how Russell Brand and Laura raise their kids.
Conclusion
Russell Brand children—Mabel, Peggy and Herb—represent the quieter chapter of a very public life. Born between 2016 and 2023, they are growing up largely away from cameras while their parents navigate fame, faith and intense scrutiny. The consistent theme is privacy: the family shares almost nothing beyond basic facts. As of November 2026, that approach still holds. For anyone following Brand’s story, the clearest takeaway is simple—his three children remain the one part of his world he and Laura have successfully kept their own.
