Did RJ Mitte Ever Have an Ex-Wife?
No public records or reliable reports show that RJ Mitte was ever married. Wikipedia and major outlets list Kennedy Suarez only as his partner from roughly 2018 onward. Early career coverage focused on his acting and cerebral palsy advocacy, not personal relationships. Claims of an “ex-wife” appear to stem from confusion with other celebrities or outdated speculation. Mitte kept his private life relatively low-key until he publicly confirmed the relationship and later the engagement.
Key points that clear up the confusion:
- No marriage certificates or divorce filings exist in public sources.
- He described Suarez as “my person” and “my everything.”
- The couple lived together in Brownsville, Texas, balancing careers and charity work.
Who Is Kennedy Suarez?
Kennedy Suarez works as a human resources generalist in a remote role. That flexibility let her travel with Mitte for film sets, appearances, and advocacy events. She supported his work with United Cerebral Palsy and The Mitte Foundation, which funds community needs in South Texas.
The pair started as friends for more than a decade. Their connection turned romantic around 2020 during a shared trip. Mitte later told People magazine he was “thrilled to have found my person, my partner in life who makes me want to be better, no matter what we’re doing.” Suarez stayed largely private, rarely seeking the spotlight herself.
Their Engagement and Life Together
On October 10, 2025—Suarez’s 30th birthday—Mitte proposed at the Dia del Sol benefit gala in Carlsbad, California. The event supported United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego, an organization for which Mitte served as ambassador. The proposal took place in front of guests at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort.
They had not set a wedding date by the time of Mitte’s death. Friends and reports described a steady, supportive partnership built on years of friendship first. Suarez often accompanied him to events, including the Disability Rights Legal Center gala the day after the engagement. They shared a quiet life in Texas while Mitte continued acting and producing projects such as Westhampton.

Why the “Ex-Wife” Search Persists
Celebrity searches often mix facts with assumptions. Mitte’s high-profile role on Breaking Bad and his disability advocacy kept him in the public eye for years. When engagement news broke in 2025, some headlines shortened “fiancée” loosely, and older speculation filled gaps. Accurate reporting from People, TMZ, and Wikipedia consistently shows one long-term partner—Kennedy Suarez—with no prior marriage.
Mitte’s life centered on more than relationships. Born with cerebral palsy, he became a visible advocate for disability representation in Hollywood and led The Mitte Foundation. His partnership with Suarez reflected the same values of support and shared purpose.
In the end, RJ Mitte left behind a story of quiet loyalty rather than tabloid drama. Kennedy Suarez stood beside him through friendship, romance, engagement, and the final chapter. Fans looking for an “ex-wife” will find none—only a genuine partnership that lasted until the end.
